Description
Manual Strapping Tensioner for 12mm Polypropylene Strapping
Secure products more neatly with our Manual Strapping Tensioner, designed to help pull 12mm polypropylene strapping tight around a suitable carton, bundle or pallet load. This tool forms one part of a traditional two-tool strapping system: the tensioner tightens the band, then a separate sealer secures a metal seal over the strap.
Manual strapping is useful when products need to be held together or cartons need extra restraint for handling and transport. The tensioner helps you apply tension more evenly than pulling the strap by hand, while giving the operator control over the fit around the load.
The tool can be used for strapping arranged horizontally or vertically, depending on how the goods are packed and where the strap needs to sit.
Where Can You Use a Strapping Tensioner?
- Bundling suitable cartons for warehouse handling
- Securing grouped items on a pallet
- Tightening polypropylene bands around boxed products
- Preparing stock bundles for storage or internal movement
- Supporting manual strapping work at dispatch stations
- Applying a consistent tensioning process when packing repeat orders
Choose strapping, seals and tools that are compatible with one another and appropriate for the weight and shape of the load.

How the Two-Tool Method Works
Place the strap around the goods and follow the tensioner’s operating instructions to draw it tight. While the strap remains under tension, position a suitable metal seal over the overlapping band and close it with the matching strapping sealer. Check the finished seal before moving the load.
Do not overtighten strapping around crushable cartons or delicate products. Keep hands clear of the strap while it is tensioned, and wear the protective equipment recommended for the strapping system. The sealer, seals and strapping are separate items unless specifically included in your order.
