Description
C5 Clear Mailing Bags – 162 × 230mm Self-Seal Envelopes
Sometimes the simplest packaging is the most useful. Our C5 Clear Mailing Bags let recipients see the contents without opening the packet, making them a practical choice for printed materials, stationery and flat, non-fragile retail goods. Each bag measures 162 × 230mm and has a 40mm permanent self-seal flap.
Transparent polythene helps keep loose items together and reduces direct contact with dust, splashes and everyday handling. Peel off the release liner, fold the flap over and press it closed for a tidy finish. There is no need for a separate strip of tape on every pack.
Choose between bags supplied loose or blockheaded, as well as different film thicknesses. The lighter grades are useful for straightforward presentation and wrapping, while a thicker grade may suit goods needing more substantial film. The best choice depends on the product and the way it will be handled.

Thickness, Format and Pack Options
All options share the same C5 dimensions. The supply format, film thickness and pack quantity determine which bag is suitable for your packing routine.
| Supply format | Film thickness | Bag pack quantities |
|---|---|---|
| Blockheaded | 30 micron | 250, 500, 1000 |
| Blockheaded | 50 micron | 125, 250, 500, 1000 |
| Loose | 35 micron | 50, 100, 500, 1000 |
If you are unsure which thickness to use, compare a sample against the weight and edges of the packed product. For a neat seal, avoid filling the bag right to the top.
Loose or Blockheaded Bags: What is the Difference?
Loose bags are supplied individually, ready to pick up and use straight from the pack. Blockheaded bags remain attached to a header strip, making it easier to dispense one bag at a time at a packing bench or counter.
Both versions use the same permanent self-seal flap. Choose loose bags if you prefer separate bags in a pack, or blockheaded bags when quick, one-at-a-time dispensing suits the job.
How to Get the Best Result
Place your item flat inside the bag, keeping paper corners or delicate surfaces away from the open adhesive edge. Remove the release strip carefully and fold the flap down evenly. If you use address labels, press them onto a smooth section where they remain legible.
The clear finish is especially useful when the content or design is part of the presentation. As with any polythene bag, keep the product away from babies and young children and check local facilities before disposal.
