Shredded Paper for Hampers, Gift Boxes and Presentation

How Much Shredded Paper Do You Need?
Start with a loose layer across the base of the carton, place your heaviest items first and tuck additional shred around the sides. A little material can spread a long way once teased apart, so add it gradually and adjust the height of the contents as you go.
Paper shred is useful for presentation and light void filling, but heavy or very fragile goods still need appropriate protective packaging. Keep it away from exposed flames, and check that loose strands will not interfere with delicate mechanisms or product finishes.
After use, clean and uncontaminated paper may be sorted according to local paper-waste rules. Avoid relying on the shred alone when an item needs impact protection in transit.
